Our Story
The Lavender Café, formally known as Bella Lavender was previously owned and operated by the past owners, Uncle Mario and Aunty Lucy. Bella Lavender first opened in 2008 before deciding to close its doors in 2020.
Anthony Lippis, who is Mario & Lucy Centofanti (nephew), along with his mother Rosa and 3 daughters decided to take on the challenge and reopened the café in early 2023. With new branding and a new name, The Lavender Café was born.
Anthony's Dream
“Hi, I’m Anthony Lippis and I can’t wait to welcome you to The Lavender Café.
Owning and running my own café was always a childhood dream of mine. As a passionate and motivated person, the goal of one day running a successful business was something I always strived for. When the opportunity came up to reopen Bella Lavender and learn from my Uncle Mario and Aunty Lucy, I jumped at the chance.
Since opening The Lavender Café in early 2023, the team and I have learnt so much. I, along with my mum and 3 girls are excited to share with you all, as our business continues to grow. In this journey so far, we have received so much appreciation for reopening the café and we enjoy welcoming our regulars back each week. We love offering the best service, and making our customers feel like they are a part of the family, it’s truly rewarding.
As family is most important, I have create a family working environment and am privileged to work alongside my 3 girls, Sienna, Chanel & Ayla and mum, Rosa.

The Lavender Café Team
We have a total of 16 wonderful staff members that make up The Lavender Café team. Each of the staff share a range of duties and all offer various skills, from making coffees, making and cooking woodfire pizzas, pastas, sandwich preparation and more. Our team is versatile, very professional, works well together and thrives under pressure in our busy little café.
